06FAQ
Everything travellers ask before they book.
A: Yes, most Arab nationalities require an electronic visa (e-Visa). You can apply online at https://evisacuba.cu/ or through authorized providers like Visa Cuba. The e-Visa costs $25-30 and takes 3-5 business days. You must also complete the D’Viajeros form 7 days before arrival. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Most Arab travelers from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine can obtain e-Visa without visiting an embassy.
From Saudi Arabia: 12-16 hours (usually 1-2 stops: Miami or Mexico City) ∙ From UAE: 14-18 hours ∙ From Egypt: 10-14 hours ∙ From Jordan/Lebanon: 14-16 hours Major airlines: Emirates, Etihad, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa. Flights require connections - direct flights are rare. Book 2 months in advance for best prices.
Is there internet? Can I stay in touch with family? A: ∙ WiFi: Available in major hotels and some public spaces ∙ Mobile signal: Very limited - Cuban networks unreliable ∙ Recommendation: Buy local SIM card ($15-20) for basic messaging ∙ WhatsApp/Messaging apps: Work on hotel WiFi ∙ Internet speeds: Slow (2-4 Mbps) ∙ Best strategy: Use hotel WiFi in evenings to contact family ∙ Tip: Don’t rely on constant connectivity - embrace the disconnect!
